Ms. Spurlock is a business instructor and program chair for the medical billing and business programs for Corinthian Colleges serving at Bryman College, City of Industry, California. She has been employed by Corinthian Colleges since 2000. She has been honored by Bryman College as "Instructor of the Quarter" and for providing outstanding service to students. She strives to provide the students at Bryman College with a quality education and to instill in them a desire to continue their educations.

Ms. Spurlock has been active as a member of the Old Baldy Council, Boy Scouts of America, serving in several capacities related to the training of adult leaders. She served on the staffs of Cub Scout Leader Wood Badge (courses W-CS-39 and W-CS41) and Boy Scout Leader Wood Badge (course W4-43-01). She was honored by the council with the District Award of Merit and Silver Beaver award. She also served as a staff member of numerous training courses in the Western Region of the BSA.

Her formal education includes a B.S. degree in Business/Management from the University of Phoenix, Diamond Bar, California. She is currently a graduate student at California State University, San Bernardino, in the Masters of Education program with an emphasis in Career and Technical Education. In addition, she is certified as both an Instructor and an Associate Director by the State of California, Department of Consumer Services, Bureau for Private Postsecondary Vocational Education, and as a Master Instructor in the Microsoft Office Specialist program. She is a member of the National Business Education Association, the Association for Career and Technical Education, and the International Association of Administrative Professionals.

Before become a teacher, Ms. Spurlock was executive vice president of the Plumbing and Piping Industry Council in Los Angeles; executive assistant at the Specialty Equipment Market Association in Diamond Bar, California; and director of human resources for Mt. San Antonio Gardens, Pomona, California.
