COURSE DESCRIPTION

 

Information Processing I-A is designed to acquaint students with basic word processing using Microsoft Office XP. Techniques for accomplishing word processing tasks are demonstrated and students have the opportunity to create various documents and reports using the skills learned. This is a 24-hour course that covers 4 different study units and meets for 2 hours, 3 times a week for 4 weeks. Maximum enrollment is 24 students.

Instructor's salary ($25 per hour for 24 hours)

Facility expense ($20 per hour for 24 hours)

Textbooks ($75 per student for 24 students)

Administrative expense ($200 per hour for 4 hours)

PROJECTED IMPACT

 

If six students enroll in the course, total income would be $4,200, which would ensure breakeven status for this course. If the maximum enrollment were attained, total income would be $12,920.
