About the School:
Bryman
College was founded by Mrs. Esther
Bryman in 1962. The school has changed ownership several times: it was
purchased by National Education Corporation in 1975, by Educorp Inc. in 1988,
and most recently by Corinthian Schools, Inc., in 2000. Corinthian Schools is a
division of Corinthian Colleges, Inc., one of the largest providers of private
postsecondary education.
The Whittier
campus of Bryman College
presently offers the following diploma programs: Business Management/Administrative
Assistant, Dental Assistant, Massage Therapist, Medical Assistant, Medical
Insurance Biller, and X-Ray Technician. In addition, an A.O.S. degree program
in Medical Office Management is available to those students who complete one of
the allied health programs followed by the business program. The school
currently serves approximately 600 students with 30 faculty members and
approximately 20 administrative and support staff.
Campus facilities include twelve
classrooms, a small library, a computer lab, x-ray facility, student lounge,
staff lounge, and various administrative offices. The student population has
grown so quickly over the last few years that we are operating at near capacity
and plans are to move the campus within the next six to nine months.
I teach in classroom 13 which
includes computer stations and lecture seating for 20 students. I am scheduled
to teach from 8:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Monday
through Thursday.
