STUDENT PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE:

By the end of the lesson, the student will be able to:

Print the presentation slides.

How will students be evaluated and what methods will be used to measure competence?

Students will create a PowerPoint presentation that must be printed as slides.

ANTICIPATORY SET OR MENTAL READINESS (describe the introduction to the lesson you will use to get the students involved in the lesson):

Explain that a printed version of a presentation is called hard copy or a printout and is sometimes used to checks for errors and readability

Review Student Performance Objective (from above)

Time Required: 1/2 minute

INSTRUCTIONAL COMPONENTS (include type of lesson and major concepts to be covered):

Demonstrate printing the presentation using the steps found on pages PP 1.65-1.67 of the textbook

Let students know that there are different ways of printing presentations that will be reviewed in later chapters

Time Required: 3 minutes

CHECK FOR UNDERSTANDING AND/OR GUIDED PRACTICE AND INDEPENDENT PRACTICE:

Students will print the presentation they have been working on using the steps outlined in the text.

Time Required: 1 minute

CLOSURE ("Are there any questions?" is NOT an adequate closure):

Remind students that, for the test, they will need to print their presentation.

Time required: 1/2 minute

MATERIALS NEEDED (video, worksheets, overhead, computer, quiz, etc.)

For each student: Textbook - Office 2000 Introductory Concepts and Techniques, computer with PowerPoint software

For instructor: Textbook, computer with PowerPoint software, data projector

STANDARD FOR ENGAGING AND SUPPORTING ALL STUDENTS IN LEARNING: In this lesson, I use technology to enhance student learning by demonstrating printing the presentation.
