UPGRADE INDICATOR: To complete this assignment, I asked two allied health instructors that I know fairly well if I could observe their teaching. I chose allied health instructors rather than business instructors because there is a possibility that I will be promoted to a supervisory position in the next few months. Both instructors were using corporate-developed "lesson plans" which are actually lecture outlines. Although some of these outlines contain some elements of lesson plans, an EVOC-style lesson plan would definitely improve the quality of instruction. Although it is time consuming, I am in the process of developing EVOC-style lesson plans for each of the classes I teach. I anticipate that it will take at least six months to complete the task.
